Hypertension

If you have been diagnosed with hypertension (high blood pressure) your GP may refer you to see a dietitian as dietary changes can help control this. It may also been related to being overweight so losing weight may also help.

Information for coming to clinic

Please bring a list of any medications that you are taking to your appointment. Your Dietitian will assess your medical history and discuss a personalised dietary treatment plan to help improve your blood pressure. If you would like to lose weight to help with this, you may be referred on to the Healthy Balance Programme (see weight management section).
