Riadh Wakeel
Dr Wakeel is our senior consultant dermatologist and is the clinical lead for dermatology. He has been a consultant Dermatologist for the past 18 years and has more than 30 years experience in his field. He has over that period developed a wide range of clinical interests within his speciality which include dermatological surgery, skin cancers, allergic and contact dermatitis. He also has a wealth of experience in paediatric dermatology having spent a substantial part of his time as senior registrar at the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital.
Dr Wakeel has published widely over the years and has more than 30 peer reviewed publications in established clinical and scientific journals. At present, he leads on skin cancers and dermatological surgery and carries out a wide range of complex surgical procedures for the removal of skin cancers. He is also involved in both the undergraduate teaching of medical students from UCL and in postgraduate teaching at the Whittington.
