Work for us
Why work for us?

The Haringey Talking Therapies service is a thriving and successful service offering talking therapies to our local North London communities based in Haringey. We offer a dynamic, lively, and supportive working environment within a multi-cultural community and strive to actively work for social change through anti-racism work and promoting inclusivity and equity. Our team includes CBT therapists, clinical/counselling psychologists, counsellors, and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs), plus our admin support team.
We are looking for people who are passionate about making a difference to our clients’ life. Working with us provides opportunities to engage in a range of clinical work with patients presenting with anxiety and depression within primary care settings. We also provide support for people who are experiencing psychological difficulties alongside a Long-Term Health Condition (LTC).
Meet our team
Watch Georgia, Ken and David speak about their roles within Haringey Talking Therapies, offering psychological interventions for people with common mental health problems.
Staff Wellbeing and Professional Development
We value our staff’s wellbeing, and we are friendly and supportive, listening to staff feedback and prioritising involvement from all members of the team. We support our staff in maintaining a good work-life balance and encourage flexible working. We are currently offering a mixture of home and office working, allowing flexible working for our staff and a range of options for our patients.
There are plenty of training opportunities for qualified staff in a range of modalities, e.g., for CBT therapists/counsellors, we offer training in couple therapy, EMDR, DIT, LTC training, to name a few. We also offer training placements for trainee HI Therapists, PWPs and clinical/counselling psychologists and have good links with several London universities.
Supervision is provided in-house by our team, offering further development opportunities for our qualified clinicians. We are proud that many of our trainees and temporary staff choose to stay with us on qualification and that our PWPs frequently progress into becoming HI therapists or clinical psychologists and remain in service with us as they continue their career. We promote the career aspirations of all our team and are pleased to support their development, helping many of our qualified therapists into senior positions within the NHS or as is frequently the case, remain within our teams to become managers and senior therapists.
