We are now called Whittington Health

As of today, 1 April 2011, The Whittington Hospital NHS Trust and the joint NHS Haringey and NHS Islington community health services alliance have formed an exciting new organisation, called Whittington Health.
Whittington Health represents a positive shift in how local NHS service providers work together to deliver patient care. It brings services and clinicians closer together, ensuring that care is more centred on the needs of local people and allows patients to navigate more easily between the services that they need.
Our patients will have better access to a full range of high quality care both in the hospital and in our community settings. Clinicians and services will be more closely linked up and, where appropriate, will offer our patients greater choice over where they receive their treatment – in hospital, in their GP surgery, a health centre or in their home.
Whittington Health is committed to putting our patients at the centre of defining how care is delivered. Our new organisation allows us to break down the barriers that have traditionally been a hurdle when organising the best care pathway for patients. Our doctors, nurses and health professionals in the hospital and in community services will work together so that the care you receive from the hospital to the community health centre, to your home is more joined up, consistent and effective. They will also be able to share common patient-level information, so that clinicians are fully informed about your condition and treatment.
