Cat Amongst the Pigeons
A new mural has been added to the Whittington’s artwork. The large and colourful Cat Amongst the Pigeons on the Level 1 atrium shows the illusion of a curious cat, called Whitty, constructed from a flock of birds.
Artist Annabel Grey was approached by commissioning agents Art Contact and asked to create something on that wall. The process lasted a year and took three days to install in the hospital.
Annabel said: “It’s been a long and fulfilling process. I wanted to do something big, colourful, and with lots of movement and am very happy with the final product and think it looks great.”
