Children’s Community Nursing Team
The department’s aim is to treat children at home wherever possible. We are able to do this by working with the paediatric community nursing teams of Haringey, Islington and Camden. The teams will review children at home and administer some medication, allowing children to be discharged from hospital sooner and preventing unnecessary admissions. The service is open during the daytime seven days a week.
We also work closely with Lifeforce. Lifeforce is a palliative care service, which provides multidisciplinary support. This includes symptom management, respite care and care through death and bereavement for children with life threatening illnesses and their families in Camden, Islington and Haringey.
