We are committed to developing you as a professional and offer great CPD opportunities, regular supervision, and appraisals. All newly qualified staff are supported through our integrated preceptorship program. We offer band 5 rotations across adults, children and young people, mental health, community - including social care and acute teams. We also are developing band 6 rotation across paediatrics to cover both community health and mental health and hospital-based work.
We take students from London universities and have also developed the first apprenticeships BSc programs in occupational therapy and physiotherapy and will be looking to extend to speech and language therapy.
We have also launched our first Allied Health Professional Leadership Fellowship. This new, innovative programme aims to develop confident, competent and compassionate leaders. With AHPs making up 20% of the workforce, it is important that we see this representation in our leadership. The Fellowship is an opportunity to develop your professional skills and understanding of communication, project management and Quality Improvement. You will be supported throughout the programme with a coach, study days and action learning sets. It is led by our Director of AHPs who provides clinical leadership to AHPs working across the Trust.
