We operate a Duty System with an administrator and clinician available Monday to Friday 8.30-4.30pm. The School Health Team works is divided into 2 teams, North and South, led by a qualified School Nurse team leader.

Healthy Living Service

The health living nutritionist offers advice and guidance around diet, exercise and healthy lifestyle changes and works closely with children and their families who are above a healthy weight, or where there are weight related concerns. The healthy living nutritionist works closely with school and provides 1-2-1 support to individual children and families they are part of the Islington school health team. The healthy living nutritionist accepts referrals from school nurses, teachers, GPís and other health professionals, and self referrals from families. The health living nutritionist can be contacted on 020 3316 8032/8025.

Specialist Youth Offending Service (YOS) and Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) School Nurse

This role delivers the universal service to all children who attend YOS or PRU. The specialist school nurse completes a comprehensive health assessment for all new entrances, working closely with the family, youth workers, allied health professionals, CAMHS and the PRU/YOS to ensure that the young personís health needs are identified and managed.
