Roma Romano-Morgan

Roma has a key role in the management of children and adolescents with diabetes in the community and hospital. She provides regular phone advice and monitoring of diabetes management, ongoing follow-up with nurse led clinics, school and home visits. Roma facilitates diabetes study days and group education programmes on carbohydrate counting and insulin management. She also provides ongoing education for nursing staff, liaison with community nurses, GPs and other professionals. She organises annual family support weekends away, educational and fun events for children with diabetes and their families to enhance their quality of life, independence and to help avoid the complications of diabetes.
