Set up an African Well-Women’s Clinic in the year 2000 which supports and improves the maternity care and outcomes for childbearing women with female genital mutilation
De-infibulation is carried out after 20 weeks gestation or during the first stage of labour by one of the Specialist Midwives or a Consultant Obstetrician
No. of referrals to the clinic during 2000 = 1- 5 per month
No. of referrals to the clinic during 2001 = 5 - 10 per month
