Ms Carol Basdeo

Carol trained as a nurse in Ashford, Middlesex and then had specialist inpatient training in Care of the Elderly.

Carol has been an outpatient nurse for a number of years and works mainly in the diabetes clinics. She enjoys the patient contact in her job and the continuity of care. She has known some of her patients for over 20 years. She enjoys working at The Whittington Hospital because of her colleagues, who are supportive at work and good company.

Carol is also the Endocrine Nurse, providing specialist services for patients with Endocrine disorders. Carol advises patients on the management of their conditions, discusses their blood test results and has various information leaflets available for patients. She administers certain types of hormone replacement therapy and she performs complex endocrine tests, including combined pituitary function tests and synacthen tests.
