Twenty six mayors from across London assembled at the Whittington Hospital, to take part in the annual London Mayor’s annual walk.

The Mayors, assembled in full robes and chains, to replicate the journey of Richard ‘Dick’ Whittington, one of London’s most infamous Mayor’s. The walk will begin at the Whittington Hospital before taking in a number of sights along the five mile route through the capital to Mansion House. The Mayors will be raising money for a number of charities working in their localities.

Steve Hitchins, Chairman at Whittington Health, said: “It is wonderful to be part of such a colourful tradition. Dick Whittington is a character who is very close to heart of the hospital and London Mayor’s alike and it is great to be able to celebrate the history together.”
