Full story

Transport for London (TfL) in partnership with Islington Council has started a programme of road and building works to improve the Archway Gyratory system.

Work is expected to last until summer 2017. During this period there is likely to be disruption to patients and families visiting our main hospital site.

We have been advised by TfL that the improvement works will affect journeys in different ways at different times. Temporary changes may include:
  • Lane closures, street closures, parking and turning restrictions
  • Taxi ranks and cycle lanes closures
  • Diverted or delayed bus routes
  • A three-week closure of the A1 at Upper Holloway Road is planned from December 2016
For more information about how your journey to the hospital may be affected, please visit the Transport for London Archway Travel Advice page.
