Selina will join Whittington Health later this year

The board of Whittington Health NHS Trust has today announced that Selina Douglas has been appointed as our new CEO and Accountable Officer. She will join Whittington Health from Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust where she is currently CEO later this year.
 
 
Before her move to Leeds, Selina was Executive Director of Partnerships for North East London Foundation Trust with responsibility for the development of the transformation, strategic operations and partnership agenda for the Trust.
 
Prior to this, Selina was managing director for Tower Hamlets, Newham and Waltham Forest Integrated Care Partnership and led the transformation programme for the three clinical commissioning groups to develop a new board structure and operating model. Selina worked in adult social care in several posts, with her last role being director of Commissioning and Enterprise Tri-borough as well as lead director for Adult Social Care for Hammersmith and Fulham. Previous roles include managing director for Turning Point, a social enterprise specialising in substance misuse, learning disability and mental health.

Announcing the appointment, the Trust chair: Baroness Julia Neuberger said:
“Selina will bring hugely valuable experience from the NHS, Social Care and the charity sector and I am excited that she is bringing her knowledge, expertise and enthusiasm to Whittington Health.”
 
She went on to thank Dr Clare Dollery for her “wise and thoughtful leadership” since December 2023, during which time the Trust has seen improvements in all of the CQC’s patient experience surveys as well as a marked improvement in urgent and emergency care performance.

Selina is currently Chief Executive at Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust
 
LCH is a community provider based in the city of Leeds delivering mental health and community services to wide and diverse population beyond the city boundaries.
 
Selina has a strong Adult Care background from operational teams to Director of Commissioning and Enterprise across three London boroughs. As part of this role Selina was the lead Adult Social Care Director for the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. Selina has held senior roles in both Sustainability and Transformation Plans/Clinical Commissioning Groups and provider Trusts, such as North East London NHS Foundation Trust.
 
Selina is committed to the voluntary sector and spent three years as the Managing Director at Turning Point, as well as currently being a Trustee for Waythrough.
