Our maternity team has today opened one of London's first in-house maternity COVID-19 vaccination clinic on our antenatal ward. This in line with Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecologists guidance that it is safe and beneficial to vaccinate during pregnancy.
The first people received their vaccines today.
The clinic will run appointments from 08.30am to 4pm each Wednesday. This will be for pregnant and postnatal clients as well as some inpatients in line with government guidance.
This is part of an expansion of our successful flu and whooping cough immunisation service which is soon to move into it's own purpose-built immunisation hub on the ward.
We will also be providing a specialist midwife information call-back service for those who are yet undecided. This can be accessed by emailing the immunisations team on whh-tr.immunisations-midwifery@nhs.net.
