Queen's Birthday Honour for Michelle Johnson

Buckingham Palace have announced that Michelle Johnson is to receive an MBE in recognition of her services to Nursing and in recognition of her contribution to the response against COVID-19 as part of the Queen's New Year's honours list.
Michelle who is our Chief Nurse and Director of Allied Health Professionals said: "I am genuinely shocked and humbled. I never expected to be recognised in this way. I see it as acknowledgement not just of my work over the past year but for the dedicated hard work of the whole team here at Whittington Health.”
Sending congratulations on behalf of everyone across the Trust, our CEO Siobhan Harrington said: “We are delighted that Michelle has received this award for her work during the COVID-19 pandemic at Whittington Health Trust. Michelle has been a visible leader across all areas of the Trust, with patient and staff safety as her absolute focus. Her personal commitment is exceptional, particularly her accessibility and visibility. Colleagues know Michelle as being someone they can approach, someone who will listen to them and someone they can trust.”
