Obstetrics and Gynaecology Return to Acute Clinical Practice Course

The London and KSS Obstetrics and Gynaecology Return to Acute Clinical Practice Course has been running since 2017 and runs three times a year (March, September and January). In recent years it has been a two-day course (January is one day). It is FREE to attend. Delegates who are on parental leave can count it as a ‘Keeping in Touch’ day. It is funded by the NHS England SuppoRTT programme and run under the umbrella of the Whittington Education Centre.

Future dates

  • Thursday 13th and Friday 14th March 2025
  • Thursday 11th and Friday 12th September 2025
  • January 2026 date - tbc

Content of the course

Day 1 is taking place virtually via MS Teams and usually covers the following:
  • Clinical updates
  • CTG refresher
  • ePortfolio and curriculum updates
  • The SuppoRTT programme and how to have a good return to acute clinical practice
  • Breakout groups for LTFT, returning from sickness, returning from research and how to keep it going, parenting and working
Day 2 (March and September) is held face to face in the Whittington Education Centre (N19 5NF) and it is a practical clinical skills and simulation day.
