Nutritionists and Dietitians

AHP Recruitment - The opportunities we offer - Nutritionists and Dietitians - Introduction
New members of staff, no matter what their grade, are introduced gradually to the working routine. You’ll be given instruction on IT systems that help you work efficiently and safely, will shadow senior colleagues and will start with reduced caseloads.

Monthly one-to-ones and weekly CPD time are protected and considered to be essential for steady development. The Preceptorship programme gives a chance for case studies and reflection time.

We offer some online education sessions for such issues as weight management and virtual clinics, and these are highly effective and popular with our patients. There is a good mix of being office-based and working in our hospital, patients’ homes and nursing homes. Our paediatric team works in clinics and three schools as part of the Islington Additional Needs and Disability Service and offers help with issues such as allergies, selective eating, IBS, and nutrient deficiency.

We work closely with occupational therapists, physiotherapists and speech and language therapists. When working in the community, iPads enable swift and efficient access to health data and the immediate recording of progress.

Once you are fully introduced to our systems and way of working, you’ll be able to organise your own workflow and be autonomous for much of your working week.
