Whittington Health Open Day 2017
08 September 2017
The Whittington hospital opens its doors on Saturday 16th September to showcase some of the amazing work that it does, both in the hospital and across its community services.
The event is open to anyone interested in learning about the services we run and there will be dozens of information stands throughout the hospital with staff available for visitors to chat to throughout the day.
It is also an opportunity for you to get involved in helping to improve these services, be it through advising on one of our many public health campaigns, such as NHSGo, developing a website, improving our social media activity, or simply completing one of our questionnaires.
Members of the Children and Young People’s Forum will be running a stall, showcasing some of the fantastic work they are doing to help improve their health services.
There will be an opportunity to find out more about the specific projects they are working on as well as the chance to ask questions, make suggestion and get involved in the forum itself.
There will be free giveaways at our stall as well as a range of interactive activities to get involved in including:
- Fancy dress photo booth
- Free popcorn
- Free giveaways
- Music – come and add your favourite song to our Spotify playlist
There will also be a chance to get involved in helping to design our CYPF webpages. This is a great opportunity for budding young website designers, journalists, bloggers and social media strategists to help develop and manage a site specifically for them and their fellow peers.
Other events and opportunities taking place on the day include:
- New and exciting modern apprenticeship programme
- Tours of our operating theatre and our facilities
- New state of the art pharmacy and assistant robot
- Free taster sessions for mindfulness and meditation
There will be plenty of entertainment on the day with various musical performances, face painting, magic tricks and the announcement of our art competition winner.
Doors are open from 10am to 4pm so come on down and join in the fun.
