Accessibility
The Whittington Hospital is committed to ensuring that everyone is able to access our websites. We design them with the accessibility guidelines in mind.
We have tried to make the navigation consistent throughout the website.
We use a standard web font to make the site easy to read. In most cases, the size of the font can be changed according to the users’ needs. This can be done by using standard browser and operating system options.
We do not use colour as the only way to convey information.
The Whittington is developing its own guidelines for accessibility, which take into consideration accessibility best practice standards from a number of sources.
This website is the Whittington’s first step in making our site accessible to everyone, and we intend to make further improvements in the near future.
Adobe Acrobat reader software is required to view and print some of the PDF documents that are on our website. To download this program for free, visit the Adobe website. The Adobe website which also provides useful tools and resources can be accessed via this link Access Adobe.
If you have any problems accessing the site or have any comments or feedback, please do not hesitate to get in touch by email us at communications.whitthealth@nhs.net.
