Trust Equality Objectives - Introduction
1) Visible and Inclusive Leadership
 
We are supporting the leaders in our organisation to be inclusive and compassionate.
 
How are we achieving this:
 
  • We are delivering training programmes to improve education on being an inclusive and compassionate leader.
  • We are delivering mentoring programmes to help improve our leader's understanding of the experiences and challenges faced by our workforce.
  • We are delivering on our Just and Restorative Culture Programme to reinforce our learning culture and reduce blame.
  • We will continue to roll out our Diverse and Inclusion Panels to ensure that our recruitment processes are fair.

2) Making equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) everyone's business
 
We are working to reinforce the core message that every member of staff have their part in promoting EDI.
 
How are we achieving this:
 
  • We will continue to promote our flagship See Me First initiative.
  • We will analyse information and data that comes from the annual NHS Staff Survey.
  • We will continue engaging with our staff to find out their challenges and what works well for them.
  • We will continue to run our programme of events to recognise, raise awareness and value staff from diverse communities.
  • We will continue rolling out our EDI programmes for all of our staff.

3) Improving Diversity Data
 
Diversity data is one of the foundations for delivering on inclusion as it helps demonstrate the groups that make up the workforce.
 
How are we achieving this:
 
  • We will continue to promote sharing diversity data with our staff through targeted campaigns and training.
