Work Areas

In my professional life I have engaged with a full range of activities including teaching, audit and service developments.


Before doing medicine I qualified in nursing doing psychiatric, general and intensive care nursing, including paediatric intensive care. I then undertook a BSc in physiology before getting into medicine.

I qualified as a doctor in 1994 and then trained in paediatrics, and further specialised in community paediatrics from my 3rd year as a registrar.

I took up my first substantive consultant post in Islington in 2006 and then the clinical lead role initially in Islington in 2008, and then following the formation of Whittington Health, the lead in Haringey Community paediatrics from 2011 I stepped down for my managerial role in September 2015 to return to clinical work.

I am registered with the GMC and have membership of the RCPCH.

I speak English only.

Special Interests

My areas of expertise and experience are in child protection and neurodevelopment. I also have experience through my lead role in management of our department.
