Community Midwifery Teams
Our midwives work with you to ensure your care is personalised and to support you throughout your pregnancy journey.
Our midwives are divided into hospital and community midwives.
Hospital midwives care for you if you are admitted to the hospital. They rotate through all the wards to ensure they are up to date with their knowledge and skills in each area.
Community midwives look after you and your baby throughout your pregnancy and up to 10 days after birth. You will be assigned to one named midwife throughout your pregnancy so you can develop your relationship and have consistent care.
