Community dermatology clinics
In addition to our clinics run at the Whittington Hospital we also run a community dermatology clinic on Tuesday’s from the Partnership Health Centre at 331 Camden Road, London. This service first began on the 17th June 2007 and provides 20% of NHS Islington’s current requirements for secondary care in dermatology. Three clinics per week are at present being run from this site, one in the morning and two in the afternoon. The scope of this service is to provide specialist care and advice to patients referred by GP’s on a number of non-chronic skin conditions that do not require long term hospital follow-up or a multi-disciplinary or sub-specialist services. It is part of our hospital’s drive to provide more care within the local community as recommended by the Department of Health.
