Mr Joyti Saksena
Joyti Saksena joined the Trauma and Orthopaedic department in January 2009. He undertook his undergraduate training at the University of Dundee in Scotland, followed by a year working in the Princess Alexander and Logan Hospital in Brisbane, Australia. Joyti completed his basic surgical training at Bedford General Hospital, with his higher orthopaedic training based at Barts and the Royal London NHS Trust.
Joyti undertook a specialist fellowship in lower-limb arthroplasty at the Norfolk and Norwich hospital, which is where he continued to develop his specialist interest in complex primary and revision hip replacement surgery. He also undertook a fellowship in knee arthroplasty and soft tissue knee reconstruction.
Research interests include patient related outcome measures (PROMS), compling data assessing quality of life and functional outcome before and after surgical intervention. Interest also in infection in total joint replacements.
Teaching interests include orthopaedic basic sciences.
