Training for Professionals
The Michael Palin Centre is a team of experienced specialist speech and language therapists working in the field of disorders of fluency, with a range of additional post-graduate qualifications. Members of the team are involved in clinical work with children and adults who stammer; teaching at the Centre, nationally and internationally; writing books and peer-reviewed papers; and research.
Our comprehensive training programme reflects our multifactorial perspective on stammering, our focus on the whole family system; our integrated therapy programmes and our collaborative approach. We include training in the use of psychological therapy approaches in stammering therapy to equip therapists with a range of skills to support children, young people, their families, and adults on their caseload.
