Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT)

Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) is a dedicated service that helps clients manage and overcome anxiety and depression by providing high quality evidenced based psychological therapies.
Our teams across Haringey, Enfield and Barnet have the following types of therapists: Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs) who are skilled at helping people find practical ways to manage their difficulties. Methods used include guided self-help, stress management skills, computerised cognitive behavioural therapy and psycho-education groups.

CBT psychotherapists who are trained to deliver cognitive behavioural therapy with you alone or in a group. Counsellors who are trained to provide you with an opportunity to talk about day to day difficulties as well as difficulties from the past. This mental health service is a collaboration between Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust and Whittington Health.
